Local municipalities around the country are all doing all they can to take advantage of the many benefits that come along with using solar power. 

And, much like the diversity of places and thoughts across the country, these communities are taking different approaches to procuring solar power. For instance, Newton, Massachusetts, is undergoing a three-phase plan to install solar panels on a variety of government buildings.

Meanwhile, Universal City, Texas, has instead opted to buy a portion of a local solar company, while Norwich, Connecticut, built its own solar array at a former dairy farm.
